In 2022-2023, we witnessed a shift in the startup landscape as funding dried up and many promising SaaS companies faced a harsh reality. While these companies had invested heavily in sales and marketing, they often neglected their existing customers. As cash ran out, and it was time to focus inward, they found themselves without a solid Customer Success foundation. Many lost clients due to poor experiences and, unfortunately, some didn’t survive.

Having built close relationships with these founders, we saw firsthand the impact of this oversight. Determined to make a difference, we began working with a few companies to build robust Customer Success departments. When the results spoke for themselves, Empra was born.
